The work on the lathe

Our History
From the passion for ceramics, an ancient art and manipulation technique, CERAMICA ROSSA was born in 1996 from an idea by Gioacchino Autovino, an
artist-craftsman, master of clay.
A laboratory in which the art and processing technique have remained unchanged, as have the raw materials, the tools (water and clay), the lathe (an increasingly rare and exclusive practice) and, lastly, the oven whose firing makes the decorations brilliant.
In his ceramic art, lights, colours and shapes are found in a thousand-year-old tradition that reinvents itself and excites: cups, bowls, basins, mugs,
the characteristic albarelli confirm that tradition and skills have not been lost but perpetuated and manifested in his creations.
Through the experience acquired over the years, the knowledge of the technique and the control of it, Gioacchino Autovino creates unique objects rigorously handmade in his workshop.
His formal and stylistic choices, while maintaining the link with his land and the Sicilian tradition, do not stop there but his creativity and his constant desire to reinvent himself, manifest themselves in contemporary and design objects by designing artefacts of great aesthetic and functional value: home furnishings, kitchen tops, sinks, interior and exterior coverings and much more.
The result is a testament to his creativity, his modern taste and his quality.
